Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has been placed on IR. Hardman will now miss at least four games due to the IR designation. The injury that is keeping him out of the lineup is reportedly to his abdomen.
The Chiefs’ official Twitter account released the news on Thursday.
Hardman was chosen in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. He played his college ball at the University of Georgia. During his career so far he has earned a Super Bowl ring, a Pro Bowl nod and a Second Team All-Pro selection.
He’s played in eight games so far this season, starting five of them. On 25 receptions, Hardman has collected 297 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also added two touchdowns on four rushing attempts. He had only two in 2021, so he’s already tripled that total in 11 less games already.
