The NFL is allowing each team to wear an alternate helmet in the 2022-2023 season. Many teams have released images of their new helmets, and the Philadelphia Eagles are the latest. Like the Panthers, Saints and Jets, the Eagles have decided to go with a black helmet for their alternates.
The official NFL Twitter account tweeted a picture of the new helmet on Friday.
Can't wait to see the @Eagles rock these black alternate helmets this season ‼️ pic.twitter.com/oGNYYcO05F

The Eagles have not yet released the exact dates/games when they will be donning their new black helmets. Being that black jerseys have been a part of their kits for a while now, it can be assumed they will be going for an all black look when they do wear them.
As stated above, the Eagles are the fourth team to choose a black helmet. Check out TGH’s NFL page for more looks at the other alternate helmets that have been released. As more are released, TGH will release breaking news with an image, and finally, rank them all when they have been released in full.
Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including preseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
