NFL Wild Card Round Picks Against the Spread
Saturday
Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5)
The last time these two teams met, the Bengals won 32-13. That game was in Las Vegas. This time the game will be in Cincinnati. While the Raiders have been very hot, winning their last four games to qualify for the playoffs, they will be on a short week in this game and traveling across the country. After resting their starters in week 18, Cincinnati should be ready to win this one. The weather could be a factor in this game, but the Bengals should win either way.
Pick: Bengals
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (-4.5)
These teams split their regular-season matchups with the Bills winning the AFC East. It will be a cold game and the home-field advantage for the Bills will help them pull this one out. Josh Allen will outplay Mac Jones and will help Buffalo cover the 4.5-point spread.
Pick: Bills
Sunday
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-8.5)
Earlier in the season, the Buccaneers beat the Eagles 28-22 in Philadelphia. Tampa Bay has had plenty of drama since then, but still has a team that is capable of winning a Super Bowl. The Buccaneers will be able to win, but the Eagles will keep it close again because of their ability to run the football.
Picks: Eagles
San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys (-3)
A storied rivalry is happening in the Wild Card Round. San Francisco has proven to run the ball well, but there are plenty of weaknesses that can be exploited by Dallas. The Cowboys can attack the underperforming secondary of the 49ers. If it becomes a shootout, the 49ers won’t be able to keep up.
Pick: Cowboys
Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)
The Steelers were able to sneak their way into the playoffs. They may be able to keep it close for a half, but Kansas City is simply too explosive on offense for the Steelers to keep up with. That is especially true given the lack of big plays by the Steelers’ offense. Kansas City should win and cover the large spread.
Pick: Chiefs
Monday
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-4)
In the NFC West, these two teams split their regular-season meetings. Los Angeles being at home and the Cardinals losing so much of their early momentum makes the Rams the pick in this game. Watch for their defensive stars to have a big impact.
Pick: Rams
