NFL Week 17 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 17 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from ESPN as of Tuesday morning)

NFL Week 17 Picks Against the Spread
Sunday Afternoon
Kansas City Chiefs (-5) at Cincinnati Bengals
Two of the better teams in the AFC are meeting up in Cincinnati. Kansas City has seemingly figured things out and the offense will be too much for the Bengals to keep up with.
Pick: Chiefs
Atlanta Falcons at Buffalo Bills (-14.5)
The Bills are going to win this game, as it is important for playoff purposes. Even though they are at home, it is hard to cover a spread that is over two touchdowns. Atlanta will be able to keep it within the spread.
Pick: Falcons
New York Giants at Chicago Bears (-6)
New York looked really bad with Jake Fromm at quarterback. Chicago is coming off a win in Seattle and should be able to win by a touchdown over a Giants’ team with quarterback issues.
Pick: Bears
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)
Tennessee has not been the same team since suffering injuries to their skill position players. Miami, on the other hand, has won seven straight games and need to keep winning to make the playoffs. The Dolphins will at least be able to keep things close.
Pick: Dolphins
Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts (-7.5)
Indianapolis has several COVID cases. They will be able to run the ball well and win the game, but winning the game by more than a touchdown over a desperate Raiders team is a lot to ask.
Pick: Raiders
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots (-15.5)
Mac Jones has struggled over the last few weeks, but he should be able to get back on track against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has had a rough season and Trevor Lawrence is struggling. New England’s defense will help them cover a large spread.
Pick: Patriots
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-13) at New York Jets
The Jets got a win last week, but that’s likely the last one they’re getting this season. Tampa Bay still has a shot at the number one seed and will want to keep their foot on the gas against the Jets.
Pick: Buccaneers
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) at Washington Football Team
Philadelphia was not projected to be in the playoff race this season. They have played well with Jalen Hurts under center. Washington is now out of the playoff race and teammates are throwing punches on the sideline. The Eagles should be able to get closer to a playoff berth this week.
Pick: Eagles
Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) at Baltimore Ravens
The Rams are rolling on offense right now. Even though they will be on the road in this game, they should be able to cover because of all the injury and COVID issues the Ravens are having.
Pick: Rams
Sunday Evening
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5)
The offense has been a problem for the Broncos this season, especially in the last few weeks. Los Angeles needs a win for playoff purposes and will want to rebound from their bad performance against the Texans.
Pick: Chargers
Houston Texans at San Francisco 49ers (-13.5)
Jimmy Garoppolo is going to miss this game with a thumb injury. While the 49ers should still be able to win, the Texans will fight hard and keep it within two touchdowns with Trey Lance at quarterback.
Pick: Texans
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (-7)
The Panthers have been faltering. New Orleans had a tough game against the Dolphins on Monday Night, but if they can get some of their players back from the COVID list, they should be able to win and cover at home.
Pick: Saints
Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks (-6.5)
Detroit is still playing teams tough. They get Jared Goff back this week, which means they should be able to keep the game close.
Pick: Lions
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-5.5)
After starting the season hot, Arizona has faltered. They don’t have J.J. Watt or DeAndre Hopkins and the injuries are piling up. Dallas seems like they got things back under control offensively against Washington and should keep it rolling.
Pick: Cowboys
Sunday Night Football
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (-6.5)
Green Bay still has a lot to play for, as they are in the lead to get the top seed in the NFC. The extra week to heal up for Aaron Rodgers is important, so the focus on winning this game, especially after losing to the Vikings earlier in the season.
Pick: Packers
Monday Night Football
Cleveland Browns (-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Both these teams are desperate for a win, but haven’t played their best. It will be a close divisional game, so the best pick is the Steelers, who will be at home.
Pick: Steelers
