Burfict is getting a season-long suspension because of his past incidents. The NFL is doing something they haven’t done before, which is suspend a player for this long for on-field infractions.
The suspension stems from a hit Burfict had on Jack Doyle in the Raiders game against the Colts on Sunday.

Burfict is reportedly appealing the suspension.
