Teamfight Tactics Set three is coming in a little over a month and with that many people will be wondering which champions could makeup the set? The announcement made by Riot stated that the set would be themed around Space with them confirming the Project, Star Guardian, Odyssey and Pulsefire skin lines. A previous piece, took a look at the other champions in those skin lines that were not confirmed and speculated on which ones could make it. Now, this piece will take a look at other space-themed skins and see which ones might make it in.
Classic Alien Skin Line
- Alien Invader Heimerdinger
- UFO Corki
These are both skins that are not exactly related but they do fit the space theme so they could be included. Their class could be titled something like “Invader” and they could be a two champion synergy. While these two seem unlikely to make it, neither Heimerdinger or Corki have been in TFT yet so it would not be out of the question for them to wiggle their way in. Also, they don’t cross with any skin lines that are currently confirmed.
Astronaut Skin Line
Astronaut Teemo
- Astronautilus
If there is a space theme and these two don’t make it in then that would be a crime. While the class would obviously be “Astronaut”, it is hard to predict exactly what their synergy might do. Could they float across the map or bounce over their attackers? There are some interesting possibilities. Teemo is one of the most famous and infamous champions in the game so it feels like they are missing a big opportunity if they don’t finally add him to TFT. He does not cross over with any other space skin lines so this is seemingly his chance. Nautilus does cross with one of the lines later on this list and was in Rise of the Elements.
Cosmic Skin Line
- Cosmic Blade Master Yi
- Cosmic Dawn Rakan
- Cosmic Defender Xin Zhao
- Cosmic Dusk Xayah
- Cosmic Enchantress Lulu
- Cosmic Queen Ashe
- Cosmic Reaver Kassadin
- Dark Cosmic Jhin
This is one of the bigger skin lines still available and one that would be very easy to bring into the game. The class could be called “Cosmic” and have something to do with a buff like attack speed considering the available champions. This would likely be one of the bigger classes with a 2/4/6 line. The only issue is how many of these champions cross with other possible skin lines. The only one who doesn’t is Kassadin. Because of that, this skin line is in danger especially since Master Yi, Rakan, Xayah, Lulu, Ashe and Jhin all have skins in at least one of the four already confirmed skin lines. If this one makes it then it will be at the detriment to many others.
Dark Start Skin Line
- Dark Star Cho’Gath
- Dark Star Jarvan IV
- Dark Star Karma
- Dark Star Kha’Zix
- Dark Star Mordekaiser
- Dark Star Orianna
- Dark Star Shaco
- Dark Star Thresh
- Dark Star Varus
The Dark Star skin line feels like one that has a good chance of getting in. It is another line that has a solid amount of champions to choose from. Most of these champions don’t have skins that are in other lines either. It could be a chance to get completely new champions in like Jarvan, Orianna and Shaco into TFT. Also bringing back Cho’Gath, Thresh or Karma could be fun as well. If Varus and Kha’Zix were to make it then they would have been in all three sets.
Dreadnova Skin Line
- Dreadnova Darius
- Dreadnova Gangplank
There are only two Deadnova skins and they are on some pretty popular champions. One could easily see them getting into this set. A two champion synergy makes it easy and neither of them conflict with any other space type skin lines. Their synergy could be something like they fear nearby champions or be something similar to current predators where they kill anything below a certain amount of health. Either way, having them both back would in the game with outstanding skins like these would be a no-brainer.
Galactic Skin Line
- Galactic Azir
- Galactic Nasus
- Galactic Renekton
The three gods from the desert have their own Galactic skins. Having them all combine together could make for a really fun synergy. They could be similar to the current Druid class in the sense that they could be three early game units that only work when combined together. It would allow for them to be in the game and actually create a solid early game comp. The only issue is that Nasus does cross with another skin line. Luckily there are other champions they could use and Azir and Renekton do not have others in the space category. This line feels like one that could make it.
Mecha Skin Line
- Mecha Aatrox
- Mecha Aurelion Sol
- Mecha Kha’Zix
- Mecha Kingdoms Draven
- Mecha Kingdoms Garen
- Mecha Kingdoms Jax
- Mecha Kingdoms Leona
- Mecha Kingdoms Sett
- Mecha Malphite
- Mecha Rengar
- Mecha Zero Sion
Technically this could be split into two separate categories but, it seems unlikely that both would make it separately. They are all Mech related and could be the Bruisers or Berserkers of set three. If this were the case it would be interesting to see how or if they fit in Aurelion Sol or Draven. That said, Aurelion Sol is likely coming back as his normal skin so taking him out of this the idea works. With Sett also being the newest champion it would make sense for Riot to want him in TFT and this could be his way in. Otherwise, every champion in this skin line has been in TFT. If Aatrox, Kha’Zix, or Leona were to make it in, this would be their third set. Look for them to make this a 2/4/6 or 3/6 synergy in set three.
Program Skin Line
- Program Camille
- Program Leblanc
- Program Lissandra
- Program Nami
- Program Soraka
While this one is not directly related to space, the skins themselves look like they could fit into the theme. They could potentially bring back Robot or even keep these as “Program” and have it be something along the lines of a buff like Light currently is. Either way, Camille, Leblanc, Lissandra and Nami are all champs that could make it as they don’t cross with any other skin line. Soraka is the only one that does so they could just ignore her and make this synergy a 2/4. Again this one seems unlikely but if they are needing another synergy to match space this one could possibly fit.
Super Galaxy Skin Line
- Super Galaxy Annie
- Super Galaxy Elise
- Super Galaxy Fizz
- Super Galaxy Gnar
- Super Galaxy Kindred
- Super Galaxy Nidalee
- Super Galaxy Rumble
- Super Galaxy Shyvana
If they do not put this line in set three then they will be missing out on a golden opportunity. This skin line is not only fun but it features a lot of interesting champions. The synergy would be “Super Galaxy” and it could make abilities stronger. This could take over for Sorcerers or Mages. None of these champions have skins in the other lines. Only Kindred would be the one to appear in all three sets if they were added. Fizz and Rumble would get their first time. This could bring back shapeshifters in a big way with Gnar, Nidalee and Shyvana. Also, they could go the way of Mages or Sorcerers with Annie, Fizz and Rumble in this mix. This line has the potential to have a lot of interesting synergies surrounding it. Again, Super Galaxy needs to make it in.
World Breaker Skin Line
- World Breaker Hecarim
- World Breaker Nasus
- World Breaker Nautilus
- World Breaker Trundle
Last and definitely not least, the World Breaker skins. This synergy could be one that stacks as they attack the same target or could be one that breaks defenses. It could also be a 2/4 synergy that would add some beefy units to the game. The only issue here is that Nasus and Nautilus fit some other skin lines and could be useful in those. If not then it would be good to have Hecarim and Trundle make their debuts to TFT. While not high up on the list to make it into the game, it is a skin line that could add some every unique champions.
Set 3 and Beyond
As of writing this list, there are over 50 different skins that haven’t been announced that could fit into the set three theme of space. While not all of these options will make it, it seems a safe bet that a good number of them will. What their synergies will end up actually being is also unknown, but it is definitely fun to speculate.
