The Dallas Cowboys have decided to move on from head coach Mike McCarthy according to Adam Schefter. His contract will expire this week and he’ll be able to negotiate with other teams.
McCarthy went 49-35 over five seasons with the Cowboys. He went to the postseason three times with the team, posting a 1-3 record. Dallas went 7-10 this season, missing the playoffs.
The Cowboys will now search for a new head coach after letting McCarthy coach out his contract with the team. McCarthy will be free to interview with new teams.
