Twisted Fate has been buffed and many will be trying to figure out how to best build him. With TF being a Pirate, Sorcerer and only a two cost unit it makes him very strong in the early game. He also makes Pirates easier to get and Sorcerers even strong if players can get him to level two early. So, without further adieu here are the top item builds for Twisted Fate.
Tears of a Clown
The classic song seems to fit this build pretty well. It is based around Tear of the Goddess. Mana will be flowing to and from Twisted Fate.
- Shojin’s Spear (Tear of the Goddess and B.F. Sword)
- Luden’s Echo (Tear of the Goddess and Needlessly Large Rod)
- Static Shiv (Tear of the Goddess and Recurve Bow)
Right now Twisted Fate needs to have his ability, “Pick a Card”, up as often as possible. Any of the three of them are useful and since it is another added layer of RNG. Having it constantly up allows for Twisted Fate to be a lot more useful. With that, he can also deal out damage more consistently as well with Luden’s Echo procing on every ability used. Then the attack speed also built up through Static Shiv and the damage it allows on every three attacks makes Twisted Fate a backline monster.
Possessed TF
Demons can still be strong in the meta and one of the easier comps to run with them are Sorcerers due to Morgana. Adding Darkin Twisted Fate here can help finish out a deadly Demon composition.
- Darkin (Golden Spatula and Tear of the Goddess)
- Rabadon’s Deathcap (Needlessly Large Rod x2)
- Guinsoo’s Rageblade (Needlessly Large Rod and Recurve Bow)
One of the things that may be overlooked in this build is that Darkin also gives Twisted Fate a nice bump in mana for +40. Add this to a Rageblade speeding up his attacks and similarly to the build above Twisted Fate will have his ability up pretty regularly. The Rabadon’s also makes those abilities hit a lot harder while also helping to keep TF’s allies mana up when he hits with a Blue Card. Not to mention he is taking away mana constantly with being a Darkin. This is definitely a situational build but one fit for the current meta.
Burst Their Whole Team…Hopefully
This is definitely the riskiest build but, getting a Red Card here and having it hit a group of enemies could delete their team. With that, it could only kill/stun one enemy or just give TF and his allies mana both of which are useful but not what a player is hoping for here.
- Rabadon’s Deathcap (Needlessly Large Rod x2)
- Seraph’s Embrace (Tear of the Goddess x2)
- Luden’s Echo (Tear of the Goddess and Needlessly Large Rod)
Obviously, the Rabadon’s here is huge and if a player can get two then they could replace Luden’s with the second one. Since that is unlikely getting another very useful magic damage item is important. This one helps cover just in case TF gets his Yellow or Blue Card instead of the red. Then Seraph’s keeps his ability flowing giving the player the best chance to get his Red Card at some point during the fight.
Twisted Fate can be a carry and a good one if built correctly. The only issue is that he adds a whole other level of RNG with his ability giving players about a one in three chance of getting the card they are looking for. This definitely can be risky but, if he hits the way the player needs then he can absolutely get them that sweet win.
