The Baltimore Ravens cut veteran defensive end Calais Campbell. The Ravens’ official Twitter account made sure to state in their official statement that they have not closed the door on Campbell returning to the team.
NFL Insider Dov Kleiman reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Campbell was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, with the 50th pick. He first played for the Cardinals for nine seasons, then three years for the Jacksonville Jaguars and finally joining the Ravens back in 2020.
In 2019, Campbell won the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year. He also has a First Team All-Pro selection under his belt, along with two Second Team All-Pro selections and six Pro Bowl nods. The defensive end also made the 2010s All-Decade Team.
