Corley had a highly productive career at Western Kentucky, getting some highlights in the process. He is now in the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a two-star recruit in the class of 2020, Corley decided to stay in-state and sign with the Hilltoppers. He had six catches for 65 yards in his first season on campus. In 2021, he took a step forward with 73 catches for 691 yards and seven touchdowns. He helped the team win nine games. For the 2022 season, Corley was one of the most productive players in the country with 101 catches for 1,295 yards and 11 touchdowns. Western Kentucky again won nine games that season. In 2023, Corley tallied 79 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns. He led the team to eight wins.

Malachi Corley Strengths
Corley will be known as one of the best players in the class at running after the catch. He is a good athlete and can make some defenders miss. Corley runs hard and has nice vision to run to open space, creating big plays. Teams will want to scheme ways to get the ball into his hands so he can produce.
He is a solid athlete for the receiver position at the NFL level. Corley has decent acceleration to start the play. He has good speed to push the field vertically a little bit. His agility is also nice to help him make defenders miss in the openfield.
While he is on the shorter side at 5-foot-11, he does have good play strength at 215 pounds. He uses this strength with the ball in his hands mostly, as he is tough to tackle. Corley’s body being ready to play in the NFL will let him focus on other areas to develop.
Malachi Corley Weaknesses
There are way too many drops on tape for Corley. He needs to focus and haul in passes before turning upfield and trying to run. A lot of his targets are schemed for him and he needs to catch the ones thrown to him to build trust with a quarterback.
To go with his drops, he has a limited catch radius. He isn’t great at going up and making contested catches or winning 50/50 balls. Corley could use his strength a little better in this regard to battle for he football. Teams will have to make sure he is open before throwing him the football.
More attention can be paid to his route-running. Corley can get in and out of his breaks quicker to create more separation. He had a lot of production schemed for him, so he needs to show he can get open more consistently down the field.
