The Jaguars moving Fowler will not surprise many. Fowler, the third overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, was the subject of trade rumors during the offseason after the Jaguars declined to pick up his fifth-year option.
In 39 games for the Jaguars, Fowler had 61 tackles, 14 sacks, 22 quarterback pressures, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.
Fowler will join a stacked defense on Los Angeles that has the likes of Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers and Ndamukong Suh. The Rams are hoping that the addition of Fowler will help their pass rush, as the Rams sit at 17th in the league with only 17 sacks through eight games.
