The 2022-23 NFL season has already been extremely entertaining. There are no byes this week because six teams are playing on Thanksgiving. Injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season, so it is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 12 wide receiver rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting WR1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High WR2- a player who may isn’t likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between WR1 and WR2 territory.
Starting WR2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started is because of their consistency and moderately high floor
Low WR2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and causes a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deeper League Flex- a player who has starting value in deeper leagues. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Upside Player- a player who is boom or bust. This player can exceed expectations in a given week or could flop and be the reason why someone lost their fantasy matchup.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
WR5 Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
Ja’Marr Chase missed the past three games with a hip injury. Cincinnati never placed Chase on injured reserve so he can return whenever he’s healthy. If Chase doesn’t return this week against the Tennessee Titans Tyler Boyd moves up to WR32 between DeVonta Smith and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receivers: WR20 JuJu Smith-Schuster & WR60 Kadarius Toney
JuJu Smith-Schuster missed last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a concussion. Kadarius Toney suffered a hamstring injury during last week’s game. If both are out this week against the Los Angeles Rams Marquez Valdes-Scantling will move up to WR47 between Curtis Samuel and Nico Collins. Skyy Moore would become the WR55 between Demarcus Robinson and Julio Jones.
If Smith-Schsuter is out this week but Toney is healthy then Toney would become the WR33 between Allen Lazard and Jerry Jeudy. Marquez Valdes-Scantling would move up to WR55 between Demarcus Robinson and Julio Jones.
If Tony is out this week and Smith-Schuster is healthy then Valdes-Scantling would move up to WR55 between Demarcus Robinson and Julio Jones.
WR24 Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers
Mike Williams has missed two games with an ankle sprain and reactivated it this week against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Williams is out but Allen is active Palmer moves up to WR25 between Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Jakobi Meyers.
Arizona Cardinals Wide Receivers: WR25 Marquise “Hollywood” Brown & WR36 Rondale Moore
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has a chance to return from Injured Reserve after suffering a foot injury five weeks ago. Rondale Moore suffered a groin injury early in the game against the San Francisco 49ers. If both are out this week against the Los Angeles Chargers Greg Dortch will become the WR33 between Allen Lazard and Jerry Jeudy.
If Brown does not play this week but Moore is healthy, Rondale Moore moves up to WR22 between Amari Cooper and Christian Kirk.
If Moore does not play this week but Brown is healthy, Dortch moves up to WR36 between Darius Slayton and Joshua Palmer.
WR34 Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
Jerry Jeudy missed last week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders with an ankle injury. He is considered day-to-day at this point. If Jeudy doesn’t play this week against the Carolina Panthers Kendall Hinton would move up to WR61 between Van Jefferson and Corey Davis.
WR62 Corey Davis, New York Jets
Corey Davis missed the past three games with a knee injury. If he misses this week’s game against the Chicago Bears Garrett Wilson retains his current ranking at WR38.
WR65 Josh Reynolds, Detroit Lions
Josh Reynolds missed the past three games because of a back injury. If Reynolds misses this week’s game against the Buffalo Bills DJ Chark becomes the WR64 between Randall Cobb and Isaiah McKenzie.
