The Bucks and Pistons have completed a trade that will send Stanley Johnson to Milwaukee and Thon Maker to Detroit according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Maker vented his frustration about playing time in recent weeks, which led to this trade. The third-year pro is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He was the 10th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Johnson looked to have a good start to his career as a rookie, but hasn’t progressed since that point. He averages 7.5 points in 20 minutes per game. Johnson was the eighth pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
The trade will allow Johnson to be a role player on a contending team, while Maker will look to earn more minutes in Detroit.
