The National PUBG League is finally back as week one of Phase 3 kicks off. This phase is going to be one for the books with a new map and more matches to be played. With this being the final phase before the PUBG Global Championship, all of the teams will be looking to show their best side. Competition is going to be more intense than ever this time around. Who will be the team to come out on top this time?
Day One
Day one kicked off on Erangel with a win for eUnited. They came out swinging and finished off the final two members of Genesis to seal their nine-kill Chicken Dinner. Their win was followed by a win for Envy in match two. They matched the nine-kill win as they held off the Soniqs from claiming their first. The third match was then taken by Ghost Gaming. They put up 10 kills and are the first team to claim a win on Sanhok. The new map proved to be no problem for them as they cleaned up PlayerOne with the blue zone closing in.
With teams starting to show their strength early on, Soniqs finally claimed a win in the fourth match of the day. The newly promoted side showed why they deserve to be here with a commanding 11-kill win. The fifth match was claimed by the Rumblers, who used a Miramar mountain to their advantage to hold off a final player from Tempo Storm. They had the smallest win with five kills, but the points were a great addition to their cause. The final match of the day went to Endemic who put up a huge 20-kill Chicken Dinner. A total like that is going to be very hard to beat in this competition. With wins all over the place, who will capitalize day two?
Day Two
Day two started off with a big win for Genesis who were grasping for a win in day one. They came in and ran with nine kills as the fought off Wildcard in the end. Genesis was followed by Tempo Storm who took the next match on Miramar. The defending champs earned 11 kills as they look to win it all again. eUnited then added to their wins in match nine, holding off Lazarus who have been looking for a win all weekend.
Soniqs showed their face again taking an eight-kill Chicken Dinner on Sanhok. The newly promoted side is already making a name for themselves in the National PUBG League. Soniqs then did it again in match 11, adding another seven kills to their tally. They keep building on their momentum, using it to their advantage to rise to the top of the league. The final match of week one was taken by Wildcard, claiming their first win in Phase 3.
Standouts in Week One
With the first week of competition out of the way, the standings are already starting to take shape. Soniqs really showed that they mean business with their three wins, but it landed them in second place. eUnited are sitting on top after their great run of consistent performances. However, only one point separates them from Soniqs. Genesis are sitting in third, being the only other team to break 100 points. The former Cloud9 players performed very well under a new name, and will be looking to rise to the top in week two of Phase 3.
Tune in next week for more coverage of the National PUBG League Phase 3.
