While the 2025 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players that will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 14.
Miami has had a fantastic season with just one loss so far. They have had an inconsistent defense, so their offense has had to carry the way. The Hurricanes have had good play from Cam Ward at quarterback this season. This season, he has passed for 3,494 yards, 32 touchdowns and six interceptions on 66.8 percent completion.
This week, Miami plays Syracuse with a chance to lock up a spot in the ACC Championship Game against SMU. The Orange could make it a shootout, as they are second in the FBS in passing yards this season. Ward has made highlight plays this year, but also has some bad decisions he’d like back. He has good arm talent and the ability to make plays out of structure, which could have him getting selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Penn State has just one loss on the season and are in a good spot to make the CFP. They have had some better play from their offense this season and Nick Singleton has helped with that. He has 646 rushing yards, 275 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns on the year.
In week 14, the Nittany Lions play the Maryland Terrapins. A win will secure a spot in the CFP. Maryland ranks 47th in rushing yards allowed per game, despite not having the best season. Singleton can help attack the defense with his good vision and decent receiving ability. He can be tough to tackle, but has the tendency to be an upright runner. Singleton could be a mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ohio State has just one loss on the season and are in line to make the CFP. They have had a great offense with several talented players. Emeka Egbuka has been a productive player who hs made some big plays for the Ohio State offense as one of the veterans. This season, Egbuka has 56 catches for 692 yards and nine touchdowns.
Egbuka will want to get a win against Michigan before heading off to the NFL. Michigan has a good defense, which will test Egbuka. He is a good route-runner and also is a willing blocker in the run game. While his athletic testing will likely be solid, it will fall short of elite marks. He has been a productive, team-oriented player in Columbus. Egbuka could be a first or second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Michigan hasn’t quite had the season they were expecting this season. Their offense has struggled to move the ball, which in turn has put more pressure on their defense. One of the bright spots on offense has been Colston Loveland. This season, he has 56 receptions for 582 yards and five touchdowns.
Loveland will need to have a huge game if Michigan has any chance against Ohio State. He is a good athlete, who displays good route-running and run-after-the-catch ability. Loveland can add strength and improve his run blocking for the next level. He could be a first or second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
North Carolina has had a rough season this year. They have had a rough time on offense due to a lackluster quarterback situation. Fortunately, they have a star running back to help out. Omarion Hampton has rushed for 1,475 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. He has added 34 catches for 295 yards and one touchdown.
The Tar Heels play their rivals, NC State, in week 14 and will need a big game from Hampton, as the Wolfpack rank 52nd in rushing yards allowed this season. Hampton has good size and speed for the running back position. He has good contact balance and is willing in pass protection. Hampton isn’t the best route-runner and isn’t the most elusive. His play has helped him to build his stock up as a possible day two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
