It’s been a year since the launch of Pokemon Unite and it’s time to celebrate. To celebrate the Pokemon Unite Anniversary, players can expect a new special event, gifts, holloware, and much more.
New Wave Of Pokemon
Starting July 21, 2022 gamers can expect, Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, to enter the battlefield. Players who wish to capture the ice-type pokemon can take part in the Icy Glaceon Challenge starting Thursday, July 21 to Sunday, August 14. Once the required missions are completed, players can earn Glaceon’s Unite license. Glaceon is one of three pokemon coming within the next month. The other Pokémon that will be making their Pokémon UNITE debut during the anniversary festivities include Buzzwole and Tyranitar. Buzzwole will be available on August 3 and on August 15 Tyranitar will also be making its appearance.
New Game Mode
To keep things fresh there will be a new type of quick battle. In Boss Rush, players team up to defeat powerful bosses to earn different rewards. The higher the Unite squad’s score, the better the rewards. Boss Rush will be available at three different periods during the anniversary celebration:
July 21 at 12:00 a.m. PDT to July 24 at 4:59 p.m. PDT
July 31 at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 7 at 4:59 p.m. PDT
August 14 at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 21 at 4:59 p.m. PDT
Anniversary Event
There will be an Anniversary Cake Challenge, running from July 21 to September 1. Participants can battle and complete missions to collect frosting to build an anniversary cake earning useful rewards.
Free Unite licenses and Haute Holowear can be earned as a log-in bonus for simply for logging in. Players can begin to earn their rewards starting July 21, 2022. Players have until October 12, 2022, to receive the following Unite licenses and Holowear:
Day 1: Pikachu & Fashionable Style: Pikachu
Day 2: Lucario & Concert Style: Lucario
Day 3: Blastoise & Firefighter Style: Blastoise
Day 4: Snorlax & Bedtime Style: Snorlax
Day 5: Sylveon & Checkered Style: Sylveon
If players already own any of the Unite licenses or Holowear above, they will receive 100 Aeos coins instead for each Unite license and Holowear they already own.
