What’s a beta without a couple of glitches anyway.
Just a week after the release of the Overwatch 2 PVP beta, it looks like there’s a game-breaking bug that is causing frustration among players. Luckily for the Overwatch developers it appears to be only with one character. Wrecking Ball has a strangely unique bug that is caused by using his Grappling Hook on the ground right below him. When a Wrecking Ball player correctly lines up the problematic hook, the rest of the players in the lobby are removed from the game.

The game-breaking bug is one of the harder ones to find, and yet so easily reproduced. The Overwatch League starts this weekend, meaning the OWL leadership had to act fast. On Tuesday May 3, Sean Miller took to Twitter to alert viewers of the Wrecking Ball ban.
I know we said no hero pools for 2022… but this time is different! Turns out Wrecking Ball's powers are a bit too strong for OWL servers too, so we'll be disabling him for this weekend, but should get our furry friend in by next week 🐹 https://t.co/PhKYELIHbU

With Wrecking Ball removed from the competitive pool, audiences are understandably concerned. Teams only have had limited practice time with Overwatch 2. Each team is, in theory, working on several different compositions. If a team has mastered a Wrecking Ball comp, what do they do now?
Good new for those worried about their favorite Hammond Players, it appears teams aren’t really using him. Teams have very low Wrecking Ball play rates, Sean Miller mentioned in a following tweet. The word on the street is that teams are favoring D.Va in these early scrims. With that being the case, there shouldn’t be any hiccups in game planning for the first weekend of Overwatch League play.
