The Washington Justice will visit Philadelphia this weekend to face local host Fusion as well as the out of town Houston Outlaws. They could either surpass expectations or fall below them. The team recently announced that they will have to play without their complete tank duo. As Lukas “LullSiSH” Wiklundhas been stranded in visa hell.
Washington Justice Preview
Philadelphia Fusion (0-0), February 15th
The Washington Justice first match this year is a tough one. Going up against what many consider a top-five team. A pivot moment for the Justice no doubt. If they lose, no big deal. They are allowed to not be on the level of Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee or Kyungbo “Alarm” Kim.
But, if Washington manages an upset in this match, they could be making great leaps to overturn the franchise’s optics in the league overall. Just a few days ago, Hyojong “Haksal” Kim from the Vancouver Titans commented that Corey “Corey” Nigra was looking particularly fierce in-game.
Prediction: Philadephia Fusion win, 3-1
Player to watch: Corey “Corey” Nigra
No doubt the 1v1 every viewer will be on the lookout for is Corey versus Carpe. The two Hitscan players will be at each other throat through the match. It might end up being up to how well the teams function as a whole to open opportunities for their star player.
Houston Outlaws (0-0), February 16th
For their second match this season the Washington Justice will be facing a reworked Houston Outlaws. The Texan team has picked up the very talented Jung-geun “Rapel” Kim and Seung-soo “Jecse” Lee combo for their backline. While at the same time expanding their coaching staff. It is not outside of the realm of possibilities for the Washington Justice to lose this match. But it would be a sour taste on the mouth of DC fans.
Prediction: Washington Justice win, 3-2
Player to watch: Minseok “AimGod” “Jeff” Kwon
Another 1v1 potential match. Rapel and Aimgod meeting on stage to exchange blows on Zenyatta or Ana would be a sight to behold. The two share veterancy in the league, but one big difference between them is Rapel’s pre-existing synergy with Jesce.
AimGod is also worth keeping an eye on this weekend to see what heroes he will play. As mentioned earlier his Zenyatta and Ana are of high quality. But he might come out with Baptiste knowing his leaning towards Hitscan heroes in general.
