NFL Divisional Round Picks Against the Spread

Publish Date: January 14, 2025

The NFL Divisional Round is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week Divisional Round picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last week: 4-2

Season: 153-118-4

Saturday Games

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5)

This game features teams who have not played up to their potential, despite their records or appearance in this game. The Chiefs have had some time off to rest, which was needed. With a relatively healthy team, the offense should be able to play better than it did for most of the regular season. They showed signs of life with Hollywood Brown back and more practice time should make them more effective. Houston’s offense has been too inconsistent this year to have faith that they can keep up.

Pick: Chiefs

Washington Commanders at Detroit Lions (-8.5)

The Commanders won in dramatic fashion in the Wild Card Round. Going up against Detroit will pose an entirely different threat. Their defense has played well despite having injuries. Offensively, they can attack defenses in a variety of ways, which will make it tough for Washington to match up. The Lions can take advantage of some inconsistent secondary play to cover against the Commanders.

Pick: Lions

Sunday Games

Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles (-5.5)

Los Angeles looked fresh in the Wild Card Round after resting starters in week 18. The Eagles can win the game by running the football, but it should be a close game. Matthew Stafford should be able to manage scoring points against the talented Eagles’ defense. A few key stops by the Rams can keep it to a field goal game.

Pick: Rams

Baltimore Ravens (-1.5) at Buffalo Bills

Buffalo played a tough defense in the first round and defeated Denver. They will face a Baltimore defense that has improved throughout the season this week and should have some success. The Bills have run the ball well and have kept many key players fresh for the end of the season, including James Cook and Von Miller. With Baltimore possibly not having Zay Flowers, the Buffalo defense can focus on stopping the run and limit the Ravens to get the win.

Pick: Bills
