Already known to fans, Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee reportedly signed a three-year contract with the Fusion. In a surprising move, the Fusion have also re-signed Josh “Eqo” Corona after releasing him last week. Gael “Poko” Gouzerch, Isaac “Boombox” Charles, and Su-min “SADO” Kim will also be joining Carpe and Eqo next season. The Fusion have even brought on some new, and not so new, faces to join the squad. Alongside the five remaining members of the original roster, the Philadelphia Fusion have brought up Kyungbo “Alarm” Kim from Fusion University. Alongside Alarm, the Fusion have also acquired Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway, who was a two way player for the Atlanta Reign and ATL Academy. Philly has also acquired two more Overwatch League pros: Seung-hyun “Ivy” Lee, formerly of the Toronto Defiant, and Jun-ho “Fury” Kim, formerly of the London Spitfire.
Not only will the Philadelphia Fusion have a new roster for next season, but they’ll also have a new head coach leading the way. Last week, the Fusion announced that they have signed Dong-gun “KDG” Kim as their new coach. KDG is now the former head coach for the Seoul Dynasty. With this lineup, the Fusion are looking to become one of the most stacked rosters going into 2020, and fans cannot wait to see these boys in action.
As a reminder, all of the current offseason changes will be continuously updated in TGH’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
