Today, the Los Angeles Valiant announced on Twitter that they have parted ways with assistant coach Dong-su “Dongsu” Shin. They brought Dongsu on shortly before the start of the 2019 season along with Mike “Packing10” Szklanny. Dongsu’s only prior notable experience as a coach was for team CONBOX, a long since disbanded team from South Korea. As of now, the team have made no further comments on the matter.
The LA Valiant have mutually parted ways with Assistant Coach Dongsu Shin. We thank Dongsu for his contributions to the Valiant and wish him the best for the future.

After the Valiant’s less-than-desirable performance during the Dallas Homestand, another switch up in the coaching staff is not shocking. Dongsu’s departure may even simply be because they no longer needed him, though. The LA Valiant did recently bring on Marvin “Promise” Schröder as an assistant coach around three weeks ago, so perhaps it was only a matter of time before one of the other assistant coaches got the boot.
As far as replacements go, Dongsu will most likely not be replaced by a new pick up. It seems as though Promise was brought on for the purpose of taking his spot, taking the timing of all of this into account. Overall, this roster change is not a huge shake up, but will hopefully be a positive change for the team.
