In today’s section of “things that should have happened a long time ago” the London Spitfire have signed Mads “Fischer” Jehg as a new Assistant Coach.
Mads lads only! 🎣🤪
We are proud to announce Mads "Fischer" Jehg will be joining London Spitfire for 2021 as an Assistant Coach. He found some time after a busy Gauntlet schedule to have a quick chat about the team's goals for '21. Welcome aboard!#AcesHigh #CleartheSkies pic.twitter.com/nSCMlJgBSA

Yes, it is true, the mad lad himself Fischer has joined the Spitfire. This is a very well deserved promotion. He comes to the Overwatch League at long last after a successful career as both a player and coach. Having spent time playing for the Danish World cup team, prior to transitioning to coaching. Where he now comes in hot off a massively successful run as Head Coach of the Spitfire’s academy team British Hurricane. He joined that legendary team earlier in 2020 and led them on a wildly successful campaign. Culminating in their taking the throne as the kings of Europe in the EU Contenders Gauntlet. Where they tore through their competition dropping only a single map.
This pickup also solidifies the team’s plans to create a more integrated culture between the Spitfire and Hurricane. Showcasing the organization’s ability and willingness to develop talent in house. Fischer’s track record in his brief time coaching has been nearly flawless. Additionally, he will have had plenty of time working with some of the team’s rumored signings. In short, Fischer will look to fly high in the Overwatch League at last.
