This Florida Mayhem Player Profile is for Choi ‘’Kris’’ Junsoo, born on 7 December 1996 in Jinsu, South-Korea and is a 23-year pro-Overwatch player. He has been a Main Support player for the Florida Mayhem since October 2018. Kris was signed right after the Inaugural season. Before he joined the OWL he was on Meta Athena in both Overwatch APEX and Overwatch Contenders Korea. His major accomplishment was placing first in Overwatch APEX Challengers Season 2. Kris has been on the starting six of the Mayhem for the majority of the 2019 Season as their Main Support player.
Kris is mostly known for his Lucio, Zenyatta and Mercy plays. His Mercy plays, aren’t only about healing. He also has a mean battle Mercy. With the new Hero ban and having the 2-2-2 role lock on top of that, having a more offensive playstyle as healer can save a team fight.
With Gang “Gangnamjin” Namjin and Lee ”Byrem” Seomgju as the Flex Supports they make up quite the trio. They can rotate with having an offensive and defensive healer thus creating a Support player playing Zenyatta or Mercy to do the extra damage. While Lucio, Ana or Moira focus on solely healing the team. Kris has improved a lot since the first two stages in the 2019 OWL Season both in individual and team play.
2020 Season for Kris
Kris’ reaction upon winning the series
As mentioned above, Kris has Mercy, Lucio, and Zenyatta as his main Heroes. With the Hero ban and the 2-2-2 role lock-in play, these Heroes can be the ones to make or break a fight. Lucio’s Boop, Zenyatta’s Orb or Mercy’s Blaster gun can do just the last bit of damage needed. This allows Kris to be offensive and defensive in any given game. Thus making him a valuable player and someone to keep an eye on during the 2020 season of the Overwatch League.
