In a tweet this morning, Blizzard announced that the new hero Echo will release next week. The character will be playable on the live servers on Tuesday, April 14. Expect the airspace to be crowded, with DPS queue times skyrocketing as people clamor to get a chance to play her. Echo’s release will also see the No Limits game mode stay in the arcade for a bit, so that people don’t have to wait to try her out.

There have been a couple of tweaks to Echo since coming onto the PTR. On March 20, her super-jump tech was taken away because the mobility it provided was insane. Then on March 25, the explosion damage of her sticky bombs was nerfed from 30 to 25 each. However, there has been nothing since then, so time will tell how balanced she is.
