Washington Redskins’ left tackle Trent Williams will report back to the team, per NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The Redskins reportedly spent all of Tuesday trying to trade the star left tackle, but no team bought in. Reports suggested the Cleveland Browns refused to trade away multiple assets for Williams. And others around the league said the Redskins were asking for too much in return.
Williams Had to Make a Choice
If Williams continued his holdout, the 2019 season wouldn’t accrue on his current contract. So he and the Redskins would be in the same boat again next offseason. Rather than sitting out for an entire season without pay, Williams chose to come back.
The 31-year-old tackle will officially enter his 10th season in the NFL once he steps foot in the Redskins’ facility. Many still believe the Redskins will trade Williams after the season. That outcome is still very possible, but for now, he’ll remain in burgundy and gold.
