The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2024 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
Antario Brown, RB
Brown joined Northern Illinois in 2021 and made an impact early in his career. He has developed into one of the best running backs in school history over the last four years. In 2024, he racked up 567 rushing yards, 204 receiving yards and five total touchdowns.
He is 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds, which gives him a good build for a running back. Brown runs hard and has good contact balance. His ability to catch passes out of the backfield adds to his value. He could make a roster if he plays well in the preseason.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Devonte O’Malley, DL
After playing linebacker and wide receiver in high school, O’Malley joined the Huskies in 2020. He has progressed at defensive line since learning the position at that point. In 2024, O’Malley tallied eight sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
He is a little undersized for an interior defensive lineman at 6-foot-2 and 293 pounds. His pass-rush production and athleticism for the position is unique. He will have to add more strength to hold up on the interior.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Korey Foreman, EDGE
Foreman started his college career at USC, where he played for three seasons. His role was limited with the Trojans. He transferred to Fresno State before the 2024 season. This season, he has 20 total tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks.
He is a little undersized for the position at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds. Foreman can add weight to his frame to be a little more NFL-ready. Returning to school is an option for him, as it would help his stock to have more sack production.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Mac Dalena, WR
Dalena joined Fresno State during the 2020 season and has developed ever since. He really started creating a huge impact for the team in 2023 and that has carried over to this season. In 2024, Dalena has hauled in 58 passes for 947 yards and eight touchdowns.
He stands at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, which makes him undersized for a receiver at the NFL level. Dalena can add weight to help, but he likely will be a slot-only player at the next level. His production could get him some extra looks, but he’ll likely have to play special teams to make a roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
