Three Games To Look Out For On the Eagles 2022 Schedule

Now that the NFL Draft has come to an end, it is now time to look ahead to the Philadelphia Eagles 2022 schedule that came out recently. At first glance, it does not seem like the Eagles got a bad shake at all. A lot of the Eagles’ bigger games are being played in Philly which gives them a huge advantage. Furthermore, they’re starting the season off against the Lions, which is an opponent that has not been great as of recent. This article will give three games that Eagles fans and NFL fans should look out for on Philadelphia’s schedule.

Week 1: At Detroit Lions

Why is a Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions a game to watch out for? To answer this question, the first game sets the momentum for the rest of the season. To put it simply, this game is huge. Philly fans will get to see how much Jalen Hurts has improved during the offseason. In addition, fans will also get see the AJ Brown and Devonta Smith duo for the first time.  Will the Eagles still be a running team with so much depth added at the receiving core? These are all things Eagles fans and NFL fans are waiting to see.

However, just because the Lions have been bad for a lot of years does not mean Philly should take them lightly. The Lions play their hearts out as one can gather from last season. It was not too long ago that Jared Goff was one of the premier young quarterbacks in the league. They also have a stud running back in D’Andre Swift and one of the most consistent tight ends in the league TJ Hockenson. Do not sleep on these Lions is the big takeaway of this. Expect the Eagles to be in a battle come Week one.

Week 6: vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys vs. Eagles rivalry will start another chapter come week 6 of the 2022 regular season. Philadelphia did not fare well against the Cowboys last season as they lost both of their games against them by a big margin. They can right that ship on primetime television as this game will take place on Sunday night.

The Eagles should be a much better team this go around and should be able to make more plays offensively as that side of the ball has improved this past offseason. The key to this game is to contain Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot on defense, while also trying to score points on a consistently tough Dallas defense. The story has changed in 2022; the Cowboys are no longer a huge favorite to win the East. This should give the Eagles a more positive attitude heading into this one.

Week 11: vs. Green Bay Packers

The Eagles will have another Sunday Night game on their 2022 schedule. This will be another game in Philly against the Green Bay Packers. At this point, fans should already have an idea if this Eagles team is the real deal. This game could also possibly have major playoff implications in the NFC. The Eagles will be facing a Packers team with Aaron Rodgers but without star receiver Davante Adams, who will be on the Raiders in 2022. This game is probably one of the most exciting Eagles games in 2022, just because of the star power and the intrigue surrounding these two teams. The key for the Eagles would be to start fast and play all until the game is over. The Eagle’s defense is really the key to this game. They need to make Rodgers uncomfortable and prevent the big plays. If the Eagles can do that, then they should have a good chance of beating this team.
