The Dallas Cowboys are down an offensive lineman after Terrence Steele tore his ACL. This will end the season for Steele as he rehabs the knee. He went down, not to return, in the last-minute win over the Houston Texans.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Steele was signed in 2020 as an undrafted free agent, and was thrust into a starting position after multiple injuries to the offensive line. He played in 16 games, starting 14 of them during his rookie season, playing 85 percent of the offensive snaps.
He played and started in all 13 games in 2022 before the ACL tear, racking up 818 offensive snaps (94 percent). During his sophomore season, Steele reported as eligible and got to score a receiving touchdown off of the arm of Dak Prescott.
