The 30-year-old running back out of Boise State has played seven NFL seasons. He started his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for six seasons before joining the Raiders last season. Last year for the Raiders, Martin rushed for 723 yards and four touchdowns on 4.2 yards per carry. In his time in the NFL Martin has rushed for 5,356 yards and 30 touchdowns in his career.
Oakland will now likely use rookie Josh Jacobs to carry the load of carries on offense now that they will be without their top two rushers from last season in Martin and Marshawn Lynch.
