NFL Week 13 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 13 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last Week:Â 8-5
Season: 98-75-4
Thanksgiving Games
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (+10.5)
The Bears have lost the last two games by a combined four points since firing offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. Detroit has been on a roll, but they haven’t won a divisional matchup by more than 10 points this season.
Pick: Bears
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5)
Cooper Rush looked a lot better against the Commanders and the Cowboys’ defense came to play. The Giants look even worse after releasing Daniel Jones, so the Cowboys should be able to protect their home turf.
Pick: Cowboys
Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers (-3.5)
Last year, the Packers heated up at the end of the season and it seems like they may be doing the same thing this season, winning six of their last seven games. Miami has struggled in cold weather games and have struggled to utilize Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle this season.
Pick: Packers
Black Friday Game
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-13.5)
The Chiefs keep being given large spreads, but they are not covering most of them this season. While the Raiders will be without Gardner Minshew, they could keep this game inside of two touchdowns.
Pick: Raiders
Sunday Afternoon
Seattle Seahawks (-1.5) at New York Jets
The Jets have a mess on their hands with a lot of different reports coming out about Aaron Rodgers. Seattle has won the last two games and their defense seems to be coming together.
Pick: Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5)
While they have been close in a lot of games, the Bengals have not defeated a quality team this season. Pittsburgh’s defense can create problems and their offense can do some damage against a bad Bengals’ defense.
Pick: Steelers
Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) at New England Patriots
The Colts are still trying to get Anthony Richardson to play good football, but have talent around him. New England has Drake Maye looking solid, but the talent around him is not great. Indianapolis has the talent to win and cover on the road.
Pick: Colts
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)
The Cardinals only scored six points against the Seahawks last week, so the Vikings’ defense could have a good day. Minnesota has won four straight games and should be able to protect their home turf.
Pick: Vikings
Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders (-5.5)
Washington has lost three straight games. The loss to the Cowboys has to be specifically frustrating. They should be able to win the game against the Titans, but it should be close. Tennessee has won two of their last four games.
Pick: Titans
Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons
The Chargers are coming off a loss to the Ravens, but won four of her last five before that. Atlanta lost the last two games and really struggled to score in the game against the Broncos, registering six points.
Pick: Chargers
Houston Texans (-5.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Houston has really been struggling the last few weeks, but could get right in this game against the Jaguars. The Jaguars have lost their last four games.
Pick: Texans
Sunday Evening
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5) at Carolina Panthers
Carolina and Bryce Young are playing better, but Tampa Bay has a lot more to play for in this game. They got back on track against the Giants last week and now can build on that momentum.
Pick: Buccaneers
Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) at New Orleans Saints
The Saints are trying to hold things together, while the Rams still have playoff hopes. With Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua all healthy, the Rams can outscore the Saints.
Pick: Rams
Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens (-2.5)
The Eagles have been so much better since their bye, winning seven straight games. They are using Saquon Barkley to his fullest abilities. Baltimore can run the ball with Derrick Henry, but Philadelphia’s front seven can slow him down.
Pick: Eagles
Sunday Night Football
San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills (-6.5)
The Bills are at home in this one and with a banged up Brock Purdy, they can win and cover. San Francisco looked lost without their starting quarterback last week and even an injured Purdy will find it tough to keep it up.
Pick: Bills
Monday Night Football
Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos (-5.5)
The Broncos have a good defense and Bo Nix is in a good spot to win Rookie of the Year. Cleveland has been playing inconsistently all season long and it will be tough for them to win on the road.
Pick: Broncos
