NFL Week 10 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 10 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last Week: 8-6
Season: 82-49-5
Thursday Night Football
Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears (-3.5)
Two reeling teams are meeting up after completing a huge trade this offseason. Justin Fields is questionable and even if he plays he likely won’t be 100 percent. The Panthers can keep it close if they protect the ball, even if the Bears win.
Pick: Panthers
Sunday Morning
Indianapolis Colts (-1.5) vs. New England Patriots (Game in Frankfurt, Germany)
New England can’t get their offense figured out on a consistent basis. The Colts’ defense has had their ups and downs this season, but they still have enough talent to get a win.
Pick: Colts
Sunday Afternoon
Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3)
The Packers defeated the Rams in week 9, but they were far from 100 percent. Pittsburgh had extra time to prepare for this game after playing on Thursday Night Football against the Titans. The Steelers can win at home and cover.
Pick: Steelers
New Orleans Saints (-2.5) at Minnesota Vikings
Josh Dobbs had a nice debut win for the Vikings with limited time to prepare. The Saints have a better defense and they utilize their weapons a little better than the Falcons do. New Orleans can win and cover on the road.
Pick: Saints
Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals (-7)
Houston has played much better football this season. Cincinnati is hitting their stride with Joe Burrow being healthy. Even if Ja’Marr Chase misses time with his injury, the Bengals have the talent to win and cover.
Pick: Bengals
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-6)
Baltimore is being considered as one of the best teams in the league and for good reason. Todd Monken’s offense is doing a great job of putting up points. Cleveland is great defensively, but the offense is still struggling too much to win this on the road.
Pick: Ravens
Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1.5)
Will Levis has played great, but it doesn’t seem like the Titans have too much faith in him. The Buccaneers have been playing teams tough, but have been coming up short. Baker Mayfield can create enough big plays to win and cover.
Pick: Buccaneers
San Francisco 49ers (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The 49ers went on a bit of a skid before their bye last week. That bye could be huge, as they have plenty of banged-up players. With an extra week to prepare for this game, look for the 49ers to get things back on track.
Pick: 49ers
Sunday Evening
Detroit Lions (-1.5) at Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are going to be on a short week and don’t have the best home-field advantage. Detroit can have a big game on the ground and win on the road.
Pick: Lions
Atlanta Falcons (-1.5) at Arizona Cardinals
There is a possibility that both James Conner and Kyler Murray return to the lineup this week for the Cardinals. If both do, the Cardinals have a chance to win, as they have proven to be a feisty team all season long.
Pick: Cardinals
Washington Commanders at Seattle Seahawks (-6.5)
Washington traded away a couple of key players and that will start to take its toll. Seattle can use this as a get right game after getting blown out by the Ravens.
Pick: Seahawks
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-16.5)
Dallas played a great game against the Eagles in a narrow loss on the road. With the Giants being without Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor, the Cowboys can cover a large spread.
Pick: Cowboys
Sunday Night Football
New York Jets (-1.5) at Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders seem to have new life with Antonio Pierce running the show. They have extra rest over the Jets, who just played on Monday Night Football. The Jets could take advantage of the Raiders’ defense, but Zach Wilson hasn’t been consistent this season.
Pick: Raiders
Monday Night Football
Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills (-7.5)
The Bills have been struggling this season and desperately need a game where they can get things right. Playing in primetime at home should give them that opportunity. Buffalo’s defense can stop Russell Wilson and the offense can regroup.
Pick: Bills
