The NFL Wild Card Round is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL Divisional Round picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last week:Â 2-4
Season: 149-121-8
Saturday Games
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens (-9.5)
The Ravens had a bye in the first round and needed the rest. They will likely be well prepared for the Texans, but this is a large spread for the playoffs, regardless of the results that have already happened. C.J. Stroud can play decently in this game to keep it close after he did well against a tough Browns defense in the Wild Card Round.
Pick: Texans
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (-10)
This is another large spread for a playoff game. The 49ers have earned that respect after consistently covering large spreads ever since their bye week. Coming off another week off, the 49ers will be healthy, rested and ready to cover.
Pick: 49ers
Sunday Games
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions (-6)
Detroit won their first playoff game in 32 years and get to host another one. They still have issues on their defense, but Jared Goff and the offense are playing well enough to win the game. The Bucs have done a great job of utilizing their talent and can keep things competitive. Look for Baker Mayfield to connect with Mike Evans an Chris Godwin for some big plays.
Pick: Buccaneers
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills (-2.5)
The Bills have wanted revenge against the Chiefs for years now and this is their opportunity. Buffalo made changes to their offensive staff this season and it has opened things up. Josh Allen had some rough patches this season, but is playing great and his ability to run should be a big factor in this game. Kansas City can win if they commit to running the football, but they haven’t done so on a consistent basis this season.
Pick: Bills
