The Madden 22 ratings have finally been unveiled. As always, there are some questionable ratings for players on every single team. In this series, TGH writers will give their opinions on the most overrated and underrated players on each roster
Here are the players on the Philadelphia Eagles that have been the most underrated by Madden 22
Jalen Hurts is rated a 71 on this year’s Madden 22 ratings. This seems a bit low since Hurts did not play poorly during the games he started in the 2020 season. Hurts is mobile quarterback that can extend plays when he has too. He also has a strong arm but is inconsistent with accuracy. He had 1,061 passing yards and 6 touchdowns in the four games he started in 2020. Hurts also had four interception due to his inconsistency in accuracy and even reading defensive plays sometimes. Hurts totaled 354 rushing yards, with a long run of 24 yards. Scrambling will definitely help him gain more yards when it does not seem like anything is there.
Hurts is a young quarterback that just needs more experience in the pros. He did beat the Saints last year, which was the only game he won as a starter in 2020. It was still impressive, since he was going up a legendary quarterback in Drew Brees. The Saints were also playoff and even Super Bowl contenders last year. Madden was a little harsh in rating in this year’s game with the sample size being so small
Madden Rating: 71
Adjusted Madden Rating: 74 (+3)
Boston Scott is another player that is underrated in the in the Madden 22 video game. Madden rated him as a 74 overall. Scott is a very speedy and elusive running back. He is able to find holes in the defense and make the defense lose him at times. Scott is a backup to Miles Sanders and does not get has many reps as he does. Scott could easily get a couple hundred more yards to his rushing total if he got as many carries as Sanders. He had 374 rushing and one touchdown on the 2020 season. His long during the was a 56-yard rush, which isn’t surprising to due to his open field speed. Scott definitely deserves a little more respect in the Madden 22 video game.
Madden Rating: 74
Adjusted rating : 77 (+3)
Dallas Goedert has a rating of 84 in the Madden 22 video game. Goedert is a big 6-foot 5 tight end that is a reliable pass catcher. He is also hard to take down and can gain a lot of yards after the catch. Goedert is also a redzone threat as he has the size and strength to reach over defenders and catch the ball.
He has been overshadowed as the Eagles had Zach Ertz playing beside him, who is one of the best tight ends in Eagle’s history. In 2020, Goedert had 524 receiving yards and while catching three touchdowns. This is a little down from his 2019 season, where he had 607 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Goedert definitely deserves to be rated a little higher in this year’s Madden 22 video game. He should have a monster season in 2021, if Ertz does leave the Eagles before the regular season.
Madden Rating: 84
Adjusted Rating: 86 (+2)
