The Las Vegas Raiders are signing yet another former Patriot for head coach Josh McDaniels’ second season. Former Patriots and Texans wide receiver Phillip Dorsett is signing with the Raiders on a new deal worth a yet-unannounced amount of money.
NFL Insider Dov Kleiman reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
After becoming a first round draft pick in 2015, Dorsett has bounced around to six different teams, with the Raiders becoming his seventh in 2023. He lasted two seasons in Indianapolis before playing three with New England. After a one year stint in Seattle he was a member of three teams in 2021.
2022 was Dorsett’s only full year as a Texan. He played in 15 games, starting just four of them. On 40 targets, he had 20 receptions for 257 yards and just one touchdown. His best year came in 2017, when he had almost 400 yards and five scores.
