No details were released about how much the contract is worth.
Ogunjobi, 28, originally signed with the Chicago Bears this offseason, but his three-year, $40.5 million deal was voided after he failed his physical. The failed physical was likely a result of a foot injury he suffered in 2021.
In 2021, he played for the Cincinnati Bengals and helped them make the Super Bowl, although he was injured before that point. He played the first four years of his career, before 2021, with the Cleveland Browns.
He has 21.5 sacks and 41 tackles for loss in his career. The 2021 season was his best yet before injury, as he racked up seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
For the Steelers, Ogunjobi will help fill the void that was left by Stephon Tuitt, who retired this offseason.
