Joe Burrow has been carted off of the field with an apparent left knee injury roughly midway through the third quarter of the Bengals’ game against Washington.
The rookie quarterback dropped back deep in his own territory when two lineman collapsed and fell into his knee while he was making the throw.
Presumably, Burrow will be out for the remainder of the season and the Bengals will be forced to turn to second-year quarterback Ryan Finley. This is terrible news for the Bengals as the rookie was off to a great statistical year.
For Cincinnati they will hope Burrow can come back the same and continue to build the franchise around him.
