Despite a shoulder sprain, quarterback Jalen Hurts is not yet ruled out for Week 16’s game against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve. Philadelphia’s head coach Nick Sirianni said he’s a “fast healer,” and still has a chance to play.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Hurts is putting together an MVP season as the Eagles sit atop the NFC and have the best record in the entire NFL. He and the Eagles are 13-1 as Hurts has thrown for 3,472 yards and 22 touchdowns to only five interceptions.
On the ground, Hurts has rushed over 150 times for 747 yards and 13 scores, but has also fumbled nine times. Philadelphia is near clinching the number one overall seed, which could give Hurts time to rest his shoulder.
