The Indianapolis Colts continue to sign free agents in the 2022 offseason, with their latest acquisition coming in the form of Ty’Son Williams. The Baltimore Ravens recently rescinded Williams’ tender, allowing the Colts to offer him a contract.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
The #Colts signed former #Ravens RB Ty'Son Williams, who had his tender withdrawn recently. Williams had three starts last season.

Williams went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft out of BYU. He also played for one season with University of North Carolina and two seasons with the University of South Carolina during his college career. The Ravens signed him, waived him and then signed him to the practice squad all within 10 days in 2020.
Baltimore gave Williams three starts in 2021, as their entire backfield went down due to injury. He played in 13 games total last year, rushing for 185 yards and a touchdown while catching eight balls for 85 more yards in those contests. That has been his entire NFL workload thus far, but the Colts clearly feel he has enough upside to place Williams behind Jonathan Taylor.
