Najee Harris grabbed the attention of an ESPN reporter for the Steelers, who says that the rookie running back is the most important offensive member on the team.
With the 2021 season right around the corner, all eyes have been on Harris, former Alabama running back, and No. 24 overall in the 2021 NFL draft pick. So far during the offseason, Harris has caught the attention of fans and news reporters alike. One of them being Brooke Pryor, the Steeler reporter at ESPN. Pryor argues that Harris won’t just be an important player this season, but probably the most important player on the team this season.
“Not exactly a flaming hot take, but Najee Harris is THE most important member of the Steeler’s offense — maybe even the team.” Pryor tweeted today, July 3.
With Pryor’s observation, Harris is likely to start at running back. The question remains if Harris’s addition will be enough against the other teams.
Steelers Reworking Their Offense
The Steelers this season seem to be refocusing their attention from the defense to offense. This season, the Steelers have reworked their offensive line.
With four veteran offensive linemen replaced, and Harris shaping up to be the star running back, is it enough to make it to the Super Bowl?
The Steelers offense, while being reworked, have still a number of weaknesses. One of them being quarterback Ben “Big Ben” Roethlisberger, according to NFL analyst.
Even reporter Adam Schein of CBS Sports said “Cincinnati can win more games than the Pittsburgh Steelers because they have a better quarterback. This is great news for the Cincinnati Bengals and the NFL.” Schein said on a Twitter post from CBS Sports.
Hopefully Harris’ promise of playing running back and wide receiver, can give Roethlisberger a hand this season.
