Defensive back Devin McCourty and the New England Patriots have agreed to a contract extension for two years worth $23 million according to Ian Rapoport.
The #Patriots are giving safety and team leader Devin McCourty a 2-year deal worth $23M, sources say. He gets $17M guaranteed – keeping him in New England for his career and allowing him to play with his brother again.

The 32-year-old has spent his entire 10-year career with the Patriots. He has 86 passes defended and 26 interceptions in his career. McCourty was a big part of the very talented Patriots’ defense last season.
With McCourty, and his brother Jason, back on the team, the Patriots should have one of the best defenses in the NFL once again.
