No terms of the contract have been released yet.
Irvin is a 32-year-old defensive end who played the first four seasons of his career with the Seahawks. He has also spent time with Oakland, Atlanta and Carolina in his eight-year career. Last season with the Panthers, Irvin had 8.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss. For his career, he has 52 sacks and 63 tackles for loss.
Seattle lost Quinton Jefferson in free agency already and is likely going to lose Jadeveon Clowney as well. Now that they need a defensive end they have gone back to a familiar face.
