Only a few weeks remain until Madden 24 releases on August 18th. This means the official player ratings for the game are out. Madden bases ratings on players’ real-life abilities, with 99 being the highest rating someone can receive. Maddens release of ratings gets fans talking about whether players were rated fairly. This was evident when Bears fans were excited to see their favorite players’ ratings increase in Madden 24.
Justin Fields, 76 overall
After another year of development Fields earned a two point rating increase. One of the major areas Fields got a boost in was speed. This is because Fields had one of the best rushing seasons by a quarterback last year. Fields speed went from a 90 to a 93 rating. That small increase in speed makes Fields the second fastest quarterback in the game, making him dangerous to play as.
Additionally, with the overall boost Fields cracks the top 20 list of quarterbacks in the game. This comes after Fields was 24th best quarterback entering Madden 23. Fields breaking into the top 20 quarterbacks in the league is nice to see. Along with being a top 20 quarterback in the game, Fields overall also puts him in a four way tie for ninth best player on the Bears. With a great season from Fields, he can become a top five rated Bears player in the next Madden.
Kyler Gordon, 75 overall
Even after a difficult rookie season, Gordon received a four point ratings boost heading into Madden 24. Gorodns boost ties him with nine other players for the 67th best cornerback in the game. While it is good that Gordon moved his way into the top 100 cornerbacks in the game, he still has lots of work to do to crack the top 50.
If Gordon can show that he has improved over the course of this next season, he might become an 80 overall by Madden 24.
Jaquan Brisker, 78 overall
After putting together a decent rookie year, Brisker increased his overall by five points. That is a significant increase in overall for any player. The increase in overall takes him from a rank in the mid-fourties to ranking as the 22nd best strong safety in the game. Briskers’ 78 overall also ranks him as the seventh highest-rated Bear in Madden. This is only the beginning of Brisker being a top ten Bear in the game since Briskers’ natural ability will help him become a top ten strong safety in Madden.
Teven Jenkins, 78 overall
Madden 23 launch ratings had Jenkins as one of the worst ranked right guards in the game. However, after a position change and a year of reliable offensive line play, Jenkins increased his overall by six points. His overall boost helped him become a top ten left guard in the entire game. This is important because there are very few high rated offensive linemen in Madden.
Jenkins’s boost also ties for the eighth highest overall on the Bears. However, being tied for eight highest overall may not last long. If Jenkins plateaus in overall he will get passed by other players. If Jenkins wants to stay as one of the highest rated bears players, he will need to keep improving,
Cole Kemet, 79 overall
After being the Bears’ best receiver last season, Madden awarded Kemet with a four point overall boost. This boost makes Kemet the third-best skill position player on the Bears in Madden. Even though Kemet does not immediately spring to mind when asked who the most dangerous players on the Bears are EA certainly sees him as one. As well as being ranked third among skill position players on the Bears, Kemets also tied for sixth best overall on the entire team.
Kemets overall also makes him the 19th best tight end in Madden. Kemets’ ranking may seem unfair, but most of the players above him have been reliable high-volume tight ends for many seasons. However, if Kemet can have another productive season this year, he could become a top 15 tight end in Madden.
