According to Ian Rapoport, he will be the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. Hooper will get $23 million guaranteed over the first two seasons and $10.5 million each year over the four seasons of the deal.
Hooper, 25, is a two-time Pro Bowler who has spent his entire four-year career with the Falcons. He has 214 receptions for 2,244 yards and 16 touchdowns in his career.
Cleveland gets another target for quarterback Baker Mayfield who struggled last season. Hooper will likely supplant David Njoku, who has dealt with injuries, in the starting lineup.
