Veteran kick and punt returner, Andre Roberts has been placed on injured reserve by the Carolina Panthers. He will now miss a minimum of four games with the injured reserve designation. The injury, reportedly, is to his knee.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Roberts is a true veteran, as he entered his 13th NFL season in 2022. He was originally drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cardinals as a wide receiver. Since being drafted, Roberts has played for Arizona, Washington, Detroit, Atlanta, New York (Jets), Buffalo, Houston, Los Angeles (Chargers) and now Carolina.
He earned First Team All-Pro honors in 2018, when he was with the Jets. Roberts has also been selected to the Second Team All-Pro in 2020 and 2021, with the Bills and Texans, respectively. Three Pro Bowl selections for Roberts came in consecutive years (from 2018-2021).
