1. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State defeated Iowa to stay undefeated this season. Ohio State Their offense started slow, but finished the game strong to help them win 35-7. A big part of their success was due to Judkins. He finished the game with 13 carries for 78 yards. Judkins also had a catch, but it went for negative yardage.
Judkins had success running the ball against a tough Iowa defense. He showed the ability to create explosive plays during the game as well, ripping off a few bigger runs with his contact balance and elusiveness. Judkins is in play to be possibly the second running back selected in the 2025 NFL Draft if he continues to play well and stay healthy down the stretch.
2. Sebastian Castro, DB, Iowa Hawkeyes
Iowa has plenty of good players on their defense. They played well in the first half, but wore down after that. Sebastian Castro had a fantastic game in many ways. He finished the game with six total tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception.
Castro showed why he could be a good slot or safety at the next level. He showed his willingness to help against the run, but also his instincts in coverage. While an NFL team will have to have a vision for where he can play at the next level (likely the slot), he played well against good competition.
3. Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas was able to pull off the upset over Tennessee this week. A lot of that was thanks to the play of their defense, who held Tennessee to just 14 points. Landon Jackson had a terrific game, finishing with four total tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.
Jackson showed off his strength, which is unique for an edge player. He not only created pressure, but drew some extra attention and penalties against Tennessee. While he isn’t the most flexible and can continue working on his game, Jackson helped his stock in this one.
4. Kyle Kennard, EDGE, South Carolina Gamecocks
Saturday was a day to forget for South Carolina. They lost to Ole Miss and the game wasn’t really close. Their defense battled tough, but the offense couldn’t get anything going. Kennard finished with no official stats for the game.
Kennard did have a sack in the game, but there was a hold, which his coach decided to accept. His limited impact outside of that sack is concerning, as he has had issues with run defense in the past. He has still has had a great season that has helped his stock with plenty of football left to play.
5. Jaydn Ott, RB, California Golden Bears
Cal had Miami on the ropes, but were unable to hang on to get the win. Their offense played well, scoring 38 points. Their star running back Jaydn Ott had a unique game. He finished with seven carries for just two yards and a touchdown. He added three catches for 75 yards and another score.
Ott battled injuries early this season, but played and helped Cal get the early lead in this one. While his rushing didn’t get going, his ability as a receiver out of the backfield helped his team. It helped show off his ability to create big plays as well.
