While the 2025 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players that will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 6.
1. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State has started off the year well going 4-0. They haven’t been tested yet, but their offense looks good. That includes running back Quinshon Judkins. The Ole Miss-transfer has 390 rushing yards, 31 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
This week the Buckeyes will play a stout Iowa defense. They’ll need Judkins to help move the ball and get the win. He has solid size and has shown good ability to put his foot in the ground and change direction. While he doesn’t do a ton as a receiver, as a runner he has proven to be one of the best in the country.
2. Sebastian Castro, CB, Iowa Hawkeyes
Iowa’s lone loss of the season is to Iowa State. Their defense has played well, as they have future pros all over. One of their more intriguing defenders is Sebastian Castro. So far this season, Castro has tallied 17 total tackles, one pass defended and one forced fumble.
The week 6 matchup of the Ohio State Buckeyes will be hard for Castro, as he’ll have to match up with good receivers. Castro is a good slot corner or safety prospect. He plays instinctually and reads plays well. Castro is a willing run defender as well. His hips are tight, which hurts his transitions and his ability to mirror receivers in man coverage.
3. Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas has had some tough losses at the start of the season, but they have some bright spots on their roster. One of them is edge rusher Landon Jackson. In 2024, Jackson has 19 total tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks.
This week Arkansas plays Tennessee in a big matchup of an offense that can run and throw it well. Jackson could be a little bit of a tweener, as a 6-foot-7, 280-pound edge player. He does move well for his size and has powerful hands. Jackson can work on keeping his pad level down to maintain proper leverage.
4. Kyle Kennard, EDGE, South Carolina Gamecocks
South Carolina is 3-1 this season behind good play from their defense. Kyle Kennard has been a quality player on their talented defensive line. In 2024, Kennard has totaled 10 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
In week 6, South Carolina plays Ole Miss, who has several talented offensive players. Kennard has good burst at the snap and can bend around the edge. He has improved his run defense this year. This has been the best season of his career and needs to sustain that for the full season to really improve his stock.
5. Jaydn Ott, RB, California Golden Bears
Cal has started the season off well, going 3-1 in their first four games. They have done well without getting running back Jaydn Ott going as much as the would’ve liked. He has rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Ott also has tallied eight catches for four yards.
In week 6 the Golden Bears have a tough matchup against the undefeated Miami Hurricanes. Ott can create big plays with the ball in his hands. He has solid elusiveness and is a good receiver. Ott looks smaller than his listed size and could improve in pass protection to help his stock.
