While the 2023 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players that will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 10.
1. Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia has been undefeated through eight games and a lot of credit for that goes to their defense. They have talent all over the field and their top corner is one of the best prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. Kelee Ringo has played well this season with 17 total tackles, two tackles for loss and three passes defended.
In week 10, the Bulldogs play the Tennessee Volunteers, who have a high-powered offense. Ringo hasn’t really been tested this season, but that will likely change against Tennessee because they like to take chances downfield. Ringo is projected to be a top 10 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and will have to help limit the Volunteers.
2. Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee is also undefeated and look like real College Football Playoff contenders. Their offense has led them to such a great start to the season. They’ll need a good game from Jalin Hyatt, who has been a big-play threat for the Volunteers. He has 45 receptions for 905 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.
This week they play the toughest defense they will face during the regular season in Georgia. They will need to produce big plays to beat Georgia, so Hyatt will have to produce those for the Volunteers. Hyatt’s stock has risen more than arguably anyone in the draft class and he is currently projected to be a second-day pick.
3. Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama is still in contention for the College Football Playoff despite one loss. Their best player has been Heisman-winner Bryce Young, who has quarterbacked well all season long. He has passed for 1,906 yards, 18 touchdowns and three interceptions on 66.1 percent completion. Young has also rushed for 137 yards and three scores.
The Crimson Tide matchup with LSU this week, who are better than many expected this season at 6-2. He will have to use both his arm and legs to defeat the Tigers. Young is already projected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class, but a good game could help him be the first one selected. He is a projected top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
4. Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU Tigers
LSU has bounced back from a rough start to the season to be 6-2. Their offense has been inconsistent, but has been better recently. Their best player offensively is wide receiver Kayshon Boutte. Boutte hasn’t played his best this season, as he has 27 receptions for 288 yards and one touchdown.
Against Alabama, LSU will need Boutte to produce big plays. He hasn’t shown that ability regularly this season, but he has in flashes. His draft stock hasn’t dropped despite the lack of production, but Boutte does need to put some good games on tape. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
5. A.T. Perry, WR, Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Wake Forest is 6-2, which is a solid start to the season despite losing last week. Their identity is in their offense, which scores 38.9 points per game. Wide receiver A.T. Perry has been a big part of that this season. He has 35 catches for 552 yards and five touchdowns.
In week 10, the Demon Deacons play the NC State Wolfpack, who have a stout defense. Perry can help break the game wide open. He has proven to be a deep threat at 15.8 yards per reception. Perry is currently projected to be a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
