The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2024 Fenway Bowl.
UConn Huskies Draft Prospects
Chase Lundt, OT
Chase joined UConn in 2019 and redshirted. He initially jumped into the starting lineup in 2021, where he has been ever since at right tackle. After four years of starting experience at tackle, Lundt’s eligibility will be up following this season.
At 6-foot-8 and 305 pounds, Lundt has good size for the NFL, although he could fill out his frame a little more. With his height, he will have to be wary of keeping his pad level low to maintain leverage. His experience and good play should have him selected in the late rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Fifth Round Pick-Seventh Round Pick
Malik Dixon-Williams, S
Dixon-Williams also joined UConn in 2019 and has developed since then. He started creating a real impact in 2021 and has been a key part of the Huskies’ defense since. In 2024, he registered 60 total tackles, three interceptions and two passes defended.
He has solid size for the NFL level at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He has shown the ability to make plenty of tackles from the secondary. In order to make a roster, Dixon-Williams will have to excel on special teams. He could be a late-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: DL Jelani Stafford (UFA)
UNC Tar Heels Draft Prospects
Power Echols, LB
Echols stepped into the Tar Heel program in 2021. He played a little bit as a freshman, then stepped into the starting lineup in 2022. Since that point, he has been a key player on the UNC defense. In 2024, he had 76 tackles, one interception and six passes defended.
At 6-foot and 225 pounds, Echols is a little light for an every-down linebacker at the NFL level. He has amassed plenty of tackles over his career, showing good pursuit. If that can translate to special teams, he can make an NFL roster.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Marcus Allen, CB
Allen joined the UNC program in 2022 and played immediately. He made a bigger impact in 2023 and 2024, positioning himself in the starting lineup for the Tar Heels. This season, he has registered 34 total tackles, two interceptions and four passes defended.
At 6-foot-1.5 and 190 pounds, Allen has a good frame for the NFL, but could fill it out more to help battle physical receivers. He is still a junior who may return to school to help his draft stock, but if he enters the draft there is the chance he is drafted late.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
*RB Omarion Hampton has opted out for this bowl game. He is a projected second to fourth-round pick.
*EDGE Kaimon Rucker has opted out for this bowl game. He is a projected mid to late-round pick.
*TE Bryson Nesbit is injured and will not play in this game. He is a projected late-round pick or undrafted free agent.
Other Draft Prospects: CB Marcus Allen (UFA), TE Jake Johnson (UFA), DL Jahvaree Rice (UFA), EDGE Desmond Evans (UFA), WR Nate McCollum (UFA), IOL Willie Lampkin (UFA)
