School: Georgia
Size:Â 5-foot-10 1/2 inches, 198 pounds

2023 stats: 56 total tackles, 1 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 5 passes defended
Bullard was a large reason for Georgia’s success over the last few seasons. Now he is in the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a three-star recruit in the class of 2021, Bullard signed with Georgia to stay in his home state. He was a backup in his first season on campus, but stepped into the starting lineup in 2022. That year, he totaled 46 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. His play helped Georgia win the National Championship that season. For the 2023 season, he tallied 56 total tackles, two interceptions and five passes defended. He led the Bulldogs to a 13-win season.
Following the 2023 season, Bullard declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a second to fourth-round pick.
Javon Bullard Strengths
Bullard is a good athlete for safety at the NFL level. He has good quickness and speed. His short area burst is there, but he also has solid range. While he may have trouble matching up with the better receivers in the league, his athleticism is still good for the position.
His versatility will be a huge asset for him. He can play double-high safety and can excel in zone coverages. Bullard can man cover some receivers and tight ends. He can play safety or nickel at the next level so defensive coordinators can move him around.
He has good awareness and vision at the backend of the defense. Bullard has good route recognition to see where plays are developing. He can diagnose plays quickly and breaks on the ball coming downhill to make plays.
Javon Bullard Weaknesses
Bullard doesn’t have the best measurables, despite having a filled-out frame. He is only 5-foot-10 and 1/2 inches tall, which can make it hard for him to match up with bigger receivers. What also can make things difficult is that he has arms that measure in at under 31 inches.
He misses tackles too often. Bullard can have tackles elude him because of his limited reach. When they are within his reach, he needs to make sure he has good form tackling to wrap up and bring the ball carrier to the ground.
There are times when Bullard can struggle to mirror receivers. This stems from tight hips, which can make it difficult for him to change directions. He needs to trust his technique and possibly not be matched up with receivers who can create separation.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Draft Grade: Fourth Round Pick
