2023 stats:Â 21 receptions, 299 receiving yards, 14.2 yards per catch, 3 touchdowns
All played at both Michigan and Iowa in his career, but battled through injuries. He is now in the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a four-star recruit in the class of 2019, All signed with Michigan out of Ohio. He had one catch for 10 yards, but redshirted in his first year on campus. In 2020, he was a reserve tight end for most of the year with 12 catches for 82 yards. For the 2021 season, All was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten with 38 catches for 437 yards and two touchdowns. His play helped Michigan win 12 games that season. In 2022, he played in just three games due to injury. He transferred to Iowa for the 2023 season. He had 21 receptions for 299 yards and three touchdowns before his season ended with an injury.
Following the injury, All declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He currently is a projected second to fourth-round pick.
Erick All Strengths
All has solid size for the tight end position. He measured in at 6-foot-4 and 252 pounds during the NFL Combine. To go with his size, he also has 33-inch arms, which help him block and give him a bigger catch radius. His size allows him to generate solid power as a blocker.
In playing at Michigan and Iowa, All is well-versed in run blocking. He is able to block as an in-line tight end and hold up very well. All can get to the second level and hit moving targets. He can line up as an H-back and lead block as well if necessary.
His athleticism is good for the position as well. He has good quickness, speed and agility. These help him separate from linebackers in coverage pretty well. It also helps him run after the catch and pick up extra yardage for his team.
Erick All Weaknesses
NFL teams will need to check in to All’s injuries before having them on their draft boards. He had an ACL tear and back issues in college. It seems he has been cleared, but if there is a chance of re-injury he may be off some team’s boards entirely.
All drops way too many passes. The frustrating part is a lot of them are focus drops. He needs to look the ball all the way in before turning upfield. All can also work on making catches when they are contested by using his strength and size to shield defenders.
While he is a good run blocker, he can improve by keeping his pad level low. He loses some of his power and ability to sustain blocks by being too upright. Focusing on keep his pad level low will allow him to move defenders out of the way.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Draft Grade: Third Round Pick
